San Luis Obispo County In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program provides homemaker and personal care assistance to eligible individuals who are receiving Supplemental Security Income or who have a low income and need help in the home to remain independent. IHSS is considered an alternative to out-of-home care, such as nursing homes or board and care facilities.
